By accessing and using we-are-checking.com (“the Site”), you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the Site. Unlike a stewards’ decision, this one is not up for appeal.
What We Do
We Are Checking is an independent Formula 1 news and commentary website. We publish articles, race recaps, analysis, and opinion pieces about the world of F1 and motorsport. Our content reflects the views of our editorial team and does not represent the official position of Formula 1, the FIA, or any team or driver.
Use of Content
All original content on the Site — articles, commentary, graphics, and design — is owned by We Are Checking unless otherwise stated.
You may:

- Quote short excerpts with proper attribution and a link back to the original article
You may not:
- Reproduce full articles without written permission
- Use our content for commercial purposes without authorisation

Commentary and Opinion
Our articles contain editorial opinion, analysis, and satire. When we say a strategy call was questionable, that is our informed opinion — not a statement of absolute fact. When we say it was the worst call since someone put intermediates on in the dry, that is hyperbole. Context matters, as any good race engineer will tell you.
We strive for accuracy in our factual reporting. If we get something wrong, we will correct it.

Availability
We aim to keep the Site running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Occasionally things break — not unlike a Honda power unit circa 2017. We will fix issues as quickly as we can.

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We Are Checking is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Site. This includes, but is not limited to, emotional distress caused by reading about your favourite driver’s contract situation at 2am.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good faith communication first, because we would rather sort things out over a conversation than involve lawyers. Lawyers are expensive, and unlike F1 teams, we do not have a $135 million budget cap.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated terms. We will update the date at the top of this page whenever revisions are made.
